Our tutoring program aims to help students who have gaps in specific subject areas to get caught up on a one-to-one basis with a teacher or sometimes in small groups of not more than 3. Students meet at least twice weekly after school. Through a system of assessment, diagnosis intervention and review, we are able to remove any barriers that prevent students from reaching their full potential.

Please note that unless organized by the school, tutoring for pay or giving private lessons for pay after the school day is not permitted. Teachers are not allowed to receive any remuneration for tutoring AIS pupils. Teachers should never recommend tutoring to parents. If a child is not succeeding despite a teacher’s interventions, the Child Study Team in the Learning Resource Centre should be consulted. A member of the Child Study Team or the Head of School will recommend the use of a tutor.
